In 2008, Perseverance group continued with the study of 2 Corinthians.  Group members consist of Michael Long & wife Janet, Dn Poh Ee Huat & wife Sherri, together with Elder Seah (in charge) & wife Amy, Mark Tan & wife Rosa (with their two boys, Rayson and Raven) and Tan Kah Poh and wife Patricia.  Our brother, Dr David See joined us from time to time when he was not otherwise occupied.  Several of our meetings were held at the home of Patricia and Kah Poh for contingency reasons during the first half of the year.  Our study brought us to 2 Corinthians 9 as Michael Long was not available to take the group in November due to his preparation for the Jordan Mission trip in December.  Our monthly meeting is held on the third Saturday with no meetings in June being church camp & December being school holidays.

Bible Study leader continues to be on a rotational basis and so was the venue for the second half of the year.  Our meeting starts normally at 8:00 p.m. and usually finishing at about 10:00 – 10:30 p.m. with each one sharing a lesson learned from the study that night.  There were also opportunities for sharing and praying together.  Several hymns were usually sung before the bible study with a time of prayer which occasionally involved the wives.  Thank God for sustaining our group thus far.  May the Lord continue to grant us the joy of meeting together as a group, as we seek to encourage and strengthen one another through the study of God’s Word.
